Greenvans owns and operates a fleet of Ford E-350 7.3L PowerStroke TurboDiesel passenger vans for rent by our customers. Each van has been outfitted with a vegetable oil conversion system manufactured and installed by vegistroke (www.dinofuelalternatives.com), the most highly regarded veggie oil conversion company in the business. Each van’s conversion system is 100% automatic. All you have to worry about is turning the key! The van runs on diesel for about 10 minutes then automatically switches over to veggie oil. When you shut down, the engine runs for an extra minute, purging any remaining veggie oil out of the engine. No need to worry about flipping switches or valves, and all instructions are included with each rental.
The seating arrangements of each van vary. We have 15 and 12 passenger bench seating, as well as 7 passenger chateau models. Each van is in near mint condition and is regularly maintained by a team of expert diesel mechanics. We cannot guarantee a specific style of vehicle due to the nature of the rental industry, however, if you have specific requirements for your tour, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Each van also comes with a 6’ x 10’ cargo trailer included in the rental fee. The trailers have enough room for a full band’s equipment, bags, and anything else you might pick up along the way. Also in the trailer is a storage tank for your spare veggie oil. Greenvans sends you off with about 150 gallons of clean, dewatered vegetable oil, enough to get you close to 2000 miles across the country without stopping. You’ll need to stop to fill-up along the way if your tour takes you beyond that range. We provide you with access to our nationwide network of veggie oil suppliers. We require that any vegetable oil you put in your tank be purchased from a reputable source that is licensed to provide road legal, filtered, dewatered vegetable oil. Federal and state road taxes must be paid on any fuel you use in our vans, which is why veggie oil must be purchased from someone on our list of sources. Don’t worry, we’ll help coordinate your fill-up stops based on the tour routing you provide us. Once you make a reservation, we’ll contact you to organize your fill-ups.
